Magnificent results for the GB women’s team at the Compak Sporting World Championships in Cyprus.
Spanish shooter Beatriz Laparra has once again written a golden page in the history of sport shooting by becoming the World Champion in Hunting Courses this Sunday, July 27, in the Cypriot town of Kornos Village, where the 47th World Championship was held.

Laparra won the women’s category with a magnificent score of 175 points, narrowly beating American Madison Sharpe, who finished with 174, and Australian Renae Birgan, who completed the podium with 170.
This individual success was complemented by the extraordinary performance of the Spanish women’s team, which took the silver medal in a high-level and demanding competition. Beatriz Laparra, Jennifer Román, and Andrea Valsero (all three from Team GB) scored 473 points, allowing Spain to climb to second place on the world podium, in a category dominated by the United States (503 points).
In the men’s team competition, the Spanish team consisting of Juan Valero, Gonzalo García, José Antonio Priego (Team GB), and José Manuel Rodriguez (Team GB) achieved a creditable fourth place, posting a solid and consistent performance throughout the event.
Also worth highlighting is the performance of young Fran Rosa (Team GB), 20th in Junior.
